What Exactly is RollerCoin?

RollerCoin is an online Bitcoin mining simulator – essentially a Bitcoin faucet but a lot more fun to use. While most faucets are dull (prove you’re human, spam ads at you, pay you a few satoshi), RollerCoin makes the task of earning Bitcoin fun.

Update: As well as Bitcoin, you can now choose to earn DOGE or Ethereum as well! You can even split your earnings over all three, it’s up to you.

The premise is simple: Sign up and start playing games to earn virtual mining power. The more games you play, the more power your mining rig becomes and the bigger piece of the block reward you earn.

Heaps of space to add more mining rigs!

A new block is “found” every five minutes, and by playing the games you boost your mining hashrate. The game is free to play, but there are options to increase your virtual mining rig by purchasing additional miners and racks.

By purchasing virtual miners you don’t need to play any games, but as I’ve not personally done this, I won’t be reviewing this part of the game. I prefer playing the games to keep my power going.

Note: The power you earn from playing the games does expire, so be sure to log in at least once a day and play a few games to keep it topped up. You’ll continue to earn satoshi so long as you have power – you don’t need to be logged in to earn.

Bonus Upgrades

Occasionally you’ll get a random bonus power upgrade like the example below. These are upgrades to your base machine and last for a set amount of time. The idea is to get you to keep logging in at least once a day in order to keep the upgraded machine.

What Games Do They Have?

Following the general 8-bit style theme of the site, the games you can play all look like variations of old arcade style games. My top 3 I like to play (mostly because they remind me of some of my old arcade favourites) are:

  • Token Blaster – While test-driving a new Lambo Huracan Performante Spyder, you were robbed by an alien armada. They stole all your coins and now you must take back what is yours. ATTACK – the enemy can’t stand against you! Reminds me of Galaga.
  • Cryptonoid – This game is more like a traditional “arcanoid” game. Hit the hashes with a bitcoin block to get them in and earn mining power. Eventually, it will get to a point when it will be incredibly difficult to bring them all down, but there is no limit to perfection.
  • Crypto Hamster – Crypto Hamster moves to the moon! The hero jumps automatically. You should use the left and right arrow key to move it from side to side. Be aware of aliens, press the Up-arrow button to kill them. Best of luck!

According to their site they are working on adding additional games, and since signing up I’ve seen a few new ones added.

Heaps of games to keep you busy!

I’ve lost count of how many hours I’ve spent playing games on their site, which to me means they’re doing it right. The games are both fun and addictive, so the more I play the higher my power goes!

I made it to the final boss!

You can also see your rank against everyone else on the site, so if you like a challenge you can try to get to number 1!

Payout Proof

Withdrawal transactions are processed once per day direct to your Bitcoin wallet (no micro-wallet services are supported at this time). Below is a payout link on the withdraw history tab of RollerCoin, and I can confirm I received payments from them.

RollerCoin takes the concept of a Bitcoin faucet and makes it fun! The ads are unobtrusive (no pop-us or unwanted redirects). Like all faucets it will take a little time to earn heaps of satoshi.

If you’re willing to spend a few minutes each day making sure your power levels stay charged, then you can keep earning it with little effort.

Overall – Great site that I’m happy to visit and earn coins from.
